Though Samsung Mobile has declared the beginning of the wireless charging era since 2015 we are declaring that it’s not too late to partake in the experience. This is a handy feature for those of you who don’t want to plug in your phone. Just set it down and it’s charging. And don’t worry; wireless charging is perfectly safe.
Wireless charging is also mainly available on the high end with glass backs metal and wireless charging doesn’t mix. Not every flagship has the technology, but more and more manufacturers are hopping on the bandwagon. Phones with the feature either support the PMA or Qi standard, although Qi is the more popular choice.
Below is a list of a few Android and iOS-powered mobile phones enabled with wireless charging.
Samsung Galaxy S9, S10 & S20 Series
Samsung Galaxy Note 9 & 10 Series
LG G8 ThinQ, G8s ThinQ and V50 ThinQ
Sony Xperia XZ3 and Sony Xperia XZ2
Nokia 9 PureView
Google Pixel 3 and Pixel 3XL
Huawei Mate 20 Pro
Xiaomi Mi 9 and Mi 9 Explorer
iPhone 8 & iPhone 8+, X, XR, XS & XS Max, 11, 11 Pro, 11 Pro Max.
Samsung Galaxy S20 series (Wireless Charging)
The Galaxy S20, S20+ & S20 Ultra feature wireless charging and double up as power banks for your wireless accessories thanks to 9W reverse wireless charging. But this is just the tip of the iceberg! Samsung has gone all out and equipped its latest flagship series with many powerful specs and features.
As expected, the standout of the group is the Galaxy S20 Ultra, which sports a number of improvements over its Galaxy S10+ predecessor. It boasts a staggering 12 or 16GB of RAM, up to 512GB storage, and a massive 5,000mAh battery. Wired charging is much better too, jumping from 15W to 45W. All three S20 phones also sport an ultra-sonic in-display fingerprint sensor and either the latest Snapdragon 865 or Exynos 990 processor.
We can’t forget the impressive camera capabilities of the Galaxy S20 Ultra either. It features a quad camera with a 108MP main sensor, a telephoto, ultra-wide and TOF sensors, topped off by 10x hybrid optical zoom. It’s hard to ask for more. The Galaxy S20 Ultra is not only one of the best phones with wireless charging, but it’s also one of the best android phones on the market.
Samsung Galaxy Note 10 Series (Wireless Charging)
Although the new Galaxy Note line wasn’t met with the same enthusiasm as Note 9, Note 10 and Note 10+ are still some of the best phones on the market. They not only sport 15W wireless charging but reverse wireless charging as well, which is ideal for keeping the battery of wireless headphones and smartwatches full on the go. But this is far from the only thing that makes the latest Samsung high-end devices special.
The Samsung Galaxy Note 10 has great specs with 8GB of RAM and 256 GB of storage, while the Plus model is even better with 12GB of RAM and 256 or 512GB of storage. Both devices sport the Exynos 9825 or Snapdragon 855 processor depending on your region. The S Pen has also received significant upgrades, as has the look of the Galaxy Note.
You can now find the handsets in four gorgeous gradient colors Aura Glow, Aura White, Aura Black, and Aura Blue. The large displays and massive 3,500 or 4,300mAh batteries are also a boon. You can’t go wrong with the Galaxy Note 10 line.
